ITPapers is the Web's largest library of technical white papers, Webcasts, and case studies. This is a really excellent resource for anyone wanting to get access to an archive of current and past technical information. Great for keeping up-to date with what's going on in the IT and telecomms industries. RSS feeds are available for all channels too.

Get ITPapers here.
Google Desktop Search

The nice people at Google have now provided a facility that will let you index all the files on your own PC. This will allow you to find email, web-pages you have browsed, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, text, etc. files on your PC as part of a stand-alone Google search, or even as part of any "regular" Google search you make. It took all night to index my PC, but the end result is wonderful... I can now easily find anything that I have written in the past on any subject!

Get the excellent Google Desktop Search here!

Home - The home of Spybot-S&D!

This is one of the three pieces of software that everyone should have on their PC. Frankly running a PC connected to the internet without Spybot-S&D is as stupid as leaving home for a week with all the doors and windows open.

Get it and protect against all those nasties out there!

The other 2 essential softwares are, of course, a firewall and an anti-virus program.
